While working with the Historic West End Partners, our team was given the responsibility to highlight black-owned businesses within the Beatties Ford Road corridor. Their collective stories would form a mini-documentary to shed a positive light on the community. We also used various social media channels and other marketing channels to bring exposure to the business district. This was truly one of our favorite projects to work on to date.
SOLUTION
We interviewed 6 business. After hearing their stories and learning how they overcome adversity, we were inspired to find additional ways to amplify their coices and bring more traffic to their businesses. We teamed up with some of our extended creative family to help push the initiative. In collaboration with Charlotte Black Owned and the Historic West End Partners, we're promoted these businesses for over 6 weeks through a media campaign titled #StayInWest.
The impact was measured by tracking the increased social media following of the businesses profiled. Comments mentioned excited new customers who had not heard of the businesses prior to the campaign, further demonstrating our ability to raise awareness and bring clientele to the area.
